Quileute Lidded Basket

This is a nice little lidded Quileute basket with a jaunty knob on the lid. It has a band of sitting ducks around the middle and has a panel of open flat material around the lid and below the ducks. This technique is called "beading". It is a characteristic element of Quileute basketry but is also used on Makah baskets as well.
