Large Pima/Papago(Tohono O’odham) Basket with Horses

This is a large coiled jar shaped basket with a row of horses facing left just under the rim. Below the horses is a wide stepped "V" shaped design. The rim is black devil's claw whip stitched obliquely across the top. There are a few stitches missing on the body of the basket but visually they don't affect the impact of the basket and its design.
