Unusual Siletz Basket

This is an elliptical shaped basket which slopes inward toward the rim. It has a single large diamond on each side with a dark linear center. The rim is wrapped rather than braided as is usual for Siletz baskets. The handle on one side has been broken off at the rim and reattached and secured with glue. Even with this imperfection, this is a basket worth owning because of its unusual shape and size and the quality of the weaving.
