Nuu-Chah-Nulth Whaler's Hat

This is a whaler's hat with a cedar bark warp and weft. It has a large thunderbird on one side and two images of a whaling canoe with a standing figure of a man with a long harpoon behind a large whale. It has three birds around the dome. The interior fitting band is also cedar bark and intact and fully attached. The hat is in excellent condition.
