Nuu-chah-nulth Lidded Basket

This is a handsome oval lidded basket. The weaving is small and even. It has a large oval green design in the center of the lid and a narrow zigzag pattern running around the outside of the top of the lid. The edge of the lid has two narrow green bands around the outside and similar green bands run along the bottom of the body of the basket. A narrow zigzag band similar to the one on the lid runs around the middle of the body of the basket. The zigzag bands have faded but the green bands and oval design on the lid are all bright. This is a good basket and will look good in a collection.
