Miniature Quileute Cradle & Doll by Beatrice Black
This is a hooded cradle with a doll tucked inside with just its head and face visible above its shredded cedar bark covering. The cradle is made with cedar bark and cloth.
The maker, Beatrice "Grandma" Black was a well known and important Quileute basket weaver and a teacher of basketry. She was born in the late 19th century.
