Eskimo Walrus Ivory Harpoon Head

This is a very artfully designed harpoon head with deep lateral grooves with large barbs looking like the fins on 1950's classic car. It has an iron point inserted at the end and secured with a metal rivet. The ivory has mellowed to a warm butter yellow. The only damage to the piece is at the point where the ivory and iron come together. There is a crack on one side and a small triangular piece broken off on the other. This is an exceptional harpoon head.
