Tlingit Basketry Covered Cane

This is a unique object. The pommel of the cane is rounded with sloping sides to the cane itself and is covered by Tlingit basketry with a swirling design on the top in red, black and yellow false embroidery. The cane itself is covered in a woven checker pattern in brown and natural fibers and the bottom of the cane has a fitted large caliber bullet and casing over it.  There is some small scattered loss of fibers in the checkered pattern on the cane. The Tlingit basketry is in excellent condition.
