Northern California Small Open Weave Basket

This is a small old open weave basket. It has two rows of open cross warp below the rim band. It is in excellent condition without any broken or missing warps. It has attached to it a cord of native fiber which is tied onto the rim. At some point it was broken but the original knot is still attached to the rim.  I prefer to leave the cord and knot attached to the basket as that was done a long time ago when it was in the hands of the people who made it. The bottom is not flat so it will require a "donut"for it to sit on to make it level.
