Folk Art Humorous Humidor

Just imagine this handsome humidor with its rich mahogany and deep dark brown coloring sitting on a heavy oak table next to your comfortable leather chair. You reach over, push in the rod at the back of the humidor and take your Lucky Strike, Camel or Gauloises out of the mouth of the wooden attendant. There is a crank on the right side which turns a small wooden paddle which may have assisted in dropping the cigarette into the channel leading into the open mouth. There may have been more on the inside to make it work well, but if so, it is no longer there. However the visual appeal of this piece is not diminished. The piece is wonderfully crafted.
