1890's Navajo - Diné Squash Blossom Necklace

This historic piece come from a collection of 15  pre-1920s pieces that recently arrived in the gallery. Dating roughly from 1890, this is squash blossom necklace is the gem of the bunch. Strung  on twisted cloth, amongst the handmade silver beads and above the 10 blossoms are 6 hand drilled stones. The cast silver naja also has a stone that has been tied with leather to hang in the center. If you are a collector of rare old Navajo (Diné) jewelry this piece might be for you.
