Yellow Billed Loon by Charles M Kokuluk (1940-2019)

This is a beautifully carved and scrimshawed loon figure by the very skilled Inuit carver Charles M. Kokuluk. His family is from King Island and he moved with his family to Nome in 1952. The artist specialized in birds and this is a fine example of his skill and artistry. It is signed on the bottom "C M Kokuluk" and "yellow billed loon". This carving will be a dramatic figure in your collection.
