Handsome Lillooet Partially Imbricated Basket

This is a handsome and understated coiled basket with simple, attractive vertical bands of design in yellowish and red imbrication. Each side has three vertical bands of design with the designs on the ends longer than the ones on the sides. The two outer bands are wider and fully imbricated and the interior designs are simpler with three vertical bands spaced a stitch apart. The effect of the designs is very pleasing.
