Makah Lidded Basket with Triangle Designs

This is an older lidded basket with a simple design of red triangles in a band around the body and the top of the lid. The red triangles alternate between the tips pointing out or pointing in. The red is a dusky red and has been used as well on a thin red line around the rim and near the bottom of the basket. The red is unusual because it has not faded. The simplicity of the triangle design and the thin bands make this an attractive basket.
