19th Century Nisqually or Puyallup Basket with Tumpline
$ 1,250.00
This is a rare find. It is a fully imbricated 19th century used huckleberry basket with a tump line attached. The basket is dark and worn but there are not any breaks or other damage to the basket. It has a repeated step design going up and to the right and a row of crosses in the band below the rim. The tump line is secured by four leather loops. The braided cedar tump line is frayed in places but intact. If you like and appreciate really old puget sound baskets, this is a great piece to own.
