Painted Wax Profile Bust of Lord Horatio Nelson
This is one of those wonderful artful artifacts of the 18th and early 19th century, a painted wax portrait of a famous and iconic admiral of the British navy. Lord Nelson is in profile facing left. It is in a wooden frame which probably was the original frame. At the bottom of the portrait in gold script is the name "Nelson". Attached to the back is a picture of oval plaque with a portrait of Nelson basically identical to the wax portrait and a typed panel below it stating :Horatio Lord Nelson Modelled by Devaere"
