Yupik Walrus Ivory Toothpick with Circle and Dot Motif
A walrus ivory toothpick encased in a knife blade shaped ivory case covered in circle and dot designs attached by an ivory pin. What a nice piece of history. Who carried it? A seaman on one of the sailing ships plying the Bering Sea around the Kuskokwim Delta or a gold miner in the Yukon chasing his luck. I know it was collected in Bethel in the early 20th C.
