Carved Ivory Seal Attachment

The seal has circle and dot eyes and inlaid nostrils. The ivory has taken on a soft warm yellow that is typical of older pieces and the overall surface is finely etched with a fine line pattern from the files used to finish the carving. It has a single hole through the back and two holes at the base. Because of its size, it is unlikely that it was just a button.
