Aloysius Pikonganna Carved Kayak with Hunter and Seal

Carved walrus ivory kayak with an Eskimo with his harpoon raised in his right hand and holding his paddle in his left hand, with a seal across the front of his kayak and his float on the back of the kayak, and signed along the left side of his kayak, "Aloysius Pikonganna".  A really wonderful sculpture. The artist died in 1986 at age 77.  The previous owner glued the short paddle in his left hand because, according to his granddaughter, it kept slipping out.
