Small Finely Woven Pomo Basket

This is a small very finely woven old Pomo basket. By my count, the stitch count is in excess of 25 stitches per inch. It has a vertical design of three narrow triangles, the tips of the lower two triangles reaching half way up next to the higher triangle. Some of the black is worn off on the rim and designs and there are three stitches missing on the rim and three on the body of the basket. The stitches are so fine that you barely notice these missing stitches.
