Plains Figural Pipestone Pipe

$ 575.00

This is one of the fanciful catlinite pipes from the late 19th century which depict an animal head with a mouth of teeth and upright ears. This pipe has 5 large circle and dot figures on each side. It has never been smoked. It has a tiny chip at the top of the left ear and another tiny chip at the lower left corner of the pipe where it would join the stem.  It is a powerful image and will look good on a shelf and in a collection.
