Patty Fawn Seal Pendant with Abalone Shell Inlay

This endearing seal carving is by well-known carver Patty Fawn (Cherokee and adopted Kwakwaka'wakw). The chubby little creature is made of walrus ivory with abalone shell inlay. All the little carved details, from the deeply grooved flippers to the pudgy neck with creases, bring this charming seal to life. It strung on a simple silver chain (not original) that can be removed upon request. This piece would be wonderful sitting on a shelf or worn as true wearable art.
