Paiute Basketry Seed Jar

This is a handsome example of a Paiute seed jar with a well proportioned classic "tear drop" shape. It has two narrow bands of design; one at the shoulder and a second narrower band above it. The two loops for attaching a cord are woven using native fibers. It has a rich dark reddish brown color and is in excellent.
