Double Face Navajo Yei Rug by Lucy Wilson

This is a diamond twill double faced Navajo rug with eight Yei figures on the front side and a different design on the back side. Double faced Navajo rugs are relatively rare and there are only a few weavers, including Lucy Wilson, who weave them. This is a very handsome weaving with red the dominant color. It was originally sold for $1,200 by the Hubble Trading Post in Ganado on the Navajo Reservation.
