19th Century Mexican Mask

This mask came out of the estate of antique dealer here in Portland who had a very good eye for old and interesting items.  It was carved from a harder wood than normally used for masks  It is painted around the eyes and mouth in red and has what appear to be real teeth. It shows extensive wear from use and has a great patina of age.
