Finely Woven Small Makah Lidded Basket with Birds and Ships

This is one of those exceptional finely woven baskets that were made in the early 20th century by Nuu-Chah-Nulth and Makah basket makers. This basket is still light in color so it must not have been exposed to much sun light since it was made. The colors have softened with age but are still vibrant. The design has two boats with two people in them and two floating ducks. A wonderful finely woven basket to enjoy.
