Nuu-chah-nulth (Nootka) oval lidded basket

L. 3 ⅛" : W. 2 ⅝" : H 1 ¾"
Nicely woven twined basket with whales and birds around the body and sitting birds on the lid.  The basket has a note inside that says it was woven in British Columbia and purchased in Sitka, Alaska in 1954.
