Lower Klamath River Woman's Hat

This is a large finely woven woman's hat from the Lower Klamath River area of northern Califonia.  It has a design, which is repeated 3 times, of two solid parallelograms joined at one corner,  Running at a diagonal through the figures is a chain of 7 small rectangles attached at two points.  The weaving on this basket is fine and even and it is in excellent condition.  This is an outstanding hat.
