Large Plateau Fully Beaded Vest
This is a very large vibrant Plateau vest from the 1930’s with a striking design of huckleberry blossoms in orange and gold on a blue background. All of the beads are the cut clear beads that became fashionable in the early 20’s and were the height of fashion in the early 1930’s. The back is black velvet and the lining of the back is a polished cotton with a satin finish. On the inside of the front panels is a deco blue cotton cloth with white feather like designs, and these blue linings have pockets. The man who wore this was a big tall man with a lot of style. There is a small area of shredding at the neck of the red lining and a darkening in the middle of the red from the man’s back against the lining.
