Fully Imbricated Puget Sound Basketry Tray

This basketry tray is visually interesting and really unusual. It is well woven, fully imbricated, with a fully intact border of double openwork loops. It has bird like figures around the outer design band.  Basketry trays are a rare form among the Puget Sound native weavers and this is a real beauty. I have never had another Puget Sound basket like this in my 40 + years in the business.
