Fully Imbricated Puget Sound Basket

This is a very well woven basket with long, narrow and even imbrication creating a strong complicated design overall.  From the shape of the basket, I believe that it originally had a lid.  I believe that it was woven by either an accomplished Nisqually or Puyallup basket weaver.  Because of the beauty of the design and the quality of the work, this is a good addition to any collection of imbricated Puget Sound baskets
