Figural Fully Imbricated Puget Sound Basket

This is a beautiful oval Puget Sound fully imbricated huckleberry basket with four staggered rows of standing figures around it.  It has a band of stepped designs just under the rim and three rows of beading around the base and a single vertical band of three triangles going up the side.  It has two thick leather loops on one side for attaching a tump line.   It is from the area around Seattle, possibly Suquamish or Snoqualmie.  It is in excellent condition and a great piece for a collector of imbricated baskets.
