Figural Maidu Basket

This is wild basket with men and women, small horses and large long nosed horses as well as blocks of diamonds.  All of the designs are in dark mahogany red, probably redbud. The basket is bowl shaped with bands of red ticking on the rim. This is a most unusual basket and a lot of fun. It will have an impact in a good collection and should make you smile.
