Eskimo Miniature Toggle Harpoon with Scrimshaw

This harpoon is a mystery. It is a well crafted miniature toggle harpoon. It has careful scrimshaw work on all four surfaces and both sides of the blade are covered with fine crosshatching. It may have been carved as a hunting amulet or it may have been carved as a hunting toy for a young Eskimo boy. Either way, it is a unique object and well worth having in a collection.
