Eskimo Ivory Polar Bear and Seal Carved Watch Band by W. Okpowruk

This is a particularly nice Eskimo watch bracelet. It should be seen as an art piece rather than a wearing piece. It has a well carved polar bear head with open red mouth on each of the terminals and four large relief carved panels, each separated by a narrow fossilized ivory panel. These four ivory panels are set up with a walrus and a seal facing each of the bears. The piece is signed by the maker, W. Okpowruk.
