Early 20th Century Coin Silver And Turquoise Belt Buckle, Diné (Navajo)

$ 750.00

This antique belt buckle was cast in sandstone with coin or ingot silver by a silversmith from the Navajo Nation between 1900 and 1920. A museum quality collectable piece like this should not be passed over. It will add a good dollop of class to any collection. The quality of chisel work, coupled with the size and quality of the natural turquoise stone, make this piece a very fine example of the kind of work created before the railroad brought waves of tourists to the desert Southwest.
