19th Century Eskimo Fishing Lure

This is a wonderful Eskimo fishing lure. It is carved from a piece of fossilized ivory and has a hook from the head made from an old an old bent nail. It has inlaid metal eyes made from a small metal tube. It is still attached to its stiff line attachment which is wrapped partially in sinew and partially in cotton string. The only damage to the piece is a small piece missing on the right side behind where the line attachment goes through the back of the lure.
