Bering Sea Children's Summer shoes

This pair of handmade children's thin hide shoes are exceptional pieces made by a mother with great skill and artistry. The upper section is a thin cream colored hide sewn up from the heel with a narrow thin red dyed hide binding around the ankle. This is sewn onto a thicker sole, which comes up about ¾" over the upper section. The toe and heel of the sole are carefully and evenly puckered adding a strong design to the shoes. These are a wonderful artifact from an earlier time and not to be missed.
