Canadian Salish Basketry Tray

This is a very handsome Canadian Salish basket. It shape is a long oval with a design in the body of the basket of three concentric ovals composed of small closely spaced imbricated stepped triangles. The top of the short rim is composed of open braided basketry cords with a handle at each end. This is a striking looking basket that shows very well.
