Chiricahua Apache belt Pouch

This is an interesting pouch. The beadwork is thread sewn. It has a barber pole design border on both sides and down the flap as well as down the center of the front side. The colors change from the front to the back and down the front. The designs on the front are narrow three beads wide circles and curved lines. The back has a single undulating band three beads wide that starts on the flap and goes all the way to the bottom. It is in excellent condition other than a single line of beads, which are missing in the barber pole on the back side. A good looking piece of beadwork.
