Tlingit Beaded Knife Sheath

This knife sheath has seen better days but it remains an intact and interesting piece of beadwork from Alaska. It has three bands of cloth at the top; red and blue wool trade cloth and printed cotton with bands of glass or metal beads as boundaries between the cloth bands. It has a long vertical panel of red wool cloth down the front with metal beads, some of which have been corroded beyond recognition.  Overall it is a good example of a working Tlingit knife sheath.
