Baleen Basket with Fluke Finial

This is an unusual and very interesting baleen basket. It is a truncated form with the diameter of the basket almost three times its height. The ivory flukes that act as the finial for the basket are as high as the basket itself. It is unsigned. Because of its size and shape this basket will have an impact on a shelf in your collection that far exceeds its size.
