Annie Healing Nampeyo Bowl

$ 4,250.00

This is an exceptional large Hopi bowl attributed to Annie Healing, Nampeyo of Hano's first child who worked closely with her in making pottery.  Annie's work is often indistinguishable from Nampeyo's, but Annie showed a preference for using black on red and using white in designs and outlining figures such as on this piece. The designs on this bowl are geometric and 5 tadpoles. The bowl is in excellent condition for its age with a tiny hairline crack at the rim and one ⅛ inch ding to the black on the edge of the rim. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a rare and visually exciting piece by Annie Healing.
