PlateauFully Beaded Double Sided Pouch

This is a very unusual Plateau pouch. It is double sided with a different design on each side but rather than the typical beaded flat bag, this has a teardrop shaped gusset on each end with its own design. This bag was collected in the Pendleton area of eastern Oregon. The only other time that I have seen a bag like this was a piece which was also collected in the Pendleton area. My guess is that they were made by the same woman. Speaking of design, the design on one face is a red flower with contour white beading around it. The other face has a dynamic hourglass figure on a very green background. There is some bead loss at the top of the white beads on the first face. Other than the bead loss, the bag is in great condition. I have left the long leather handle in the knot it came with as the leather on the handle is very stiff.
