Walrus Ivory Inuit Fox Handled Letter Opener

This ivory carving is more interesting than most of the ivory letter openers that come out of Alaska. It has a well executed scrimshawed seal on the blade. The shape of the blade is more like a hunting knife with a nice curved form which drops down to the crouching fox on the handle. This will be a piece that will be a pleasure to own.
