This stunning all sterling silver necklace by Bennie Ration (Navajo) featuring a Three-dimensional kachina figure and beautifully hand fabricated feathers will stop you in your tracks. Bennie Ration learned silversmithing from his father John Ration as a young man. He then went on to graduate from the University of Arizona where he studied screen printing and graphic design before returning to silver work, bringing his unique signature style to sculptural jewelry often depicting animals and traditional kachina designs. 
This piece features a kachina figure pendant rendered in fine detail and framed by traditional Navajo motifs. Beautifully hand fabricated feathers dangle from the pendant creating dynamic movement and interest. The necklace features four delicately observed feathers giving the whole piece a feeling of effortless flight. 
The kachina figure pendant and feathers are 4 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide, and ½ inch deep, it attaches to the necklace with a study shepherd's hook bale. The necklace is 22 inches long with hand made chain and hook and eye closure.  It weighs 110 grams and is signed BR showing Bennie's hallmark of an eagle's talon and is marked "sterling".
