Large Black Ware Candlestick by Legoria Tafoya (1911-1984)

This is a large and impressive Santa Clara foot shaped candlestick by Legoria Tafoya. One could almost call it monumental. It is so large in size and so beautifully crafted. The circular handhold at the back twists up and around the body of the piece like a dance to complete the candlestick. This will be a great piece in a collection and one that merits its size. This Santa Clara candlestick is from the Rhonda Mast collection of Southwest pottery.
