Large 19th Century Plateau Sally Bag

This is a great late 19th century Plateau root bag. It has an overall design of closely set stepped vertical bands going up and to the left which stops about 2" from the rim. In the vacant space is a single narrow horizontal band. The rim is wrapped with a narrow leather band which shows years of use. If you appreciate old working baskets that were well used with great designs, this is a basket you should seriously consider.
