19th Century Unusual Pomo Boat Shaped Basket

This basket has everything going for it, except condition. It is a finely coiled single rod basket with an intriguing shape which pushes out from the bottom and pulls back into a smaller opening. The basket has a design of two long narrow joined diamonds along the sides and a completely different zigzag design on the ends.  Because of its age, the basket is uniformly very dark. The flaw in this great basket is that it is missing a section of rim on one side. I personally feel that this basket is so fine, early and unusual, that it is well worth owning.
