Klamath Basket with Chevron Pattern

This is a well woven Klamath basket with an unusual design and shape.  It has two horizontal bands of small close set chevrons, all facing left. The chevrons are a light mahogany color and are woven from a different material than the dyed tule normally used in designs on Klamath baskets. The basket has a flat base which gives the basket a slight pedestal look. It has a half inch band of a different weave between the rim and the top band of chevrons. Because of the light coloring of the design, the basket has a quiet feeling but it is an exceptional basket and will be a pleasure to own.
